Walk a mile in my shoes

English: Something happened last night that made me a bit sad, I usually don't bother. That person told me that "I don't look sick". Well no, fibromyalgia isn't visible on the outside and I don't have a stamp on the forehead saying it. I don't have the worst by any means, I can't or won't say that, I know that my life is pretty normal after all and there is many people living with horrible diseases and can't live normal lives although they want that. But I wish that we all could try to be a bit more humble and considerate towards ecah other, instead of judging a person so quickly. You can't know everything about a person by just looking at them and even if you think you know that person pretty well you don't know everything. Think about that! before you judge anyone walk a mile in their shoes! A pretty good saying that I want to share to day. I need to think about this myself, I don't want to that judge so quickly, and even before I know their whole background.

Sure, my pain would be more visible if I wouldn't take my painkillers, absolutely. But then I couldn't live a normal life as I want to. So now I have to live with the knowledge that I need them, even if it doesn't feels so fun stuff my whole body with very stron painkillers. It doesn't feel so nice to my body, but I accept that it has to be that way. I know the alternative and I don't want that.
So my wish is that we all can try to be more considerate towards each other! Help someone instead of knocking them over. It will give yourself more satisfaction at the same time that you'll do good to someone.

  1. Fint skrivet.

  2. Ann-Sofie – we Swedes are world champions on have an opinion on people - we have always something to say about the person that left the room. There is so many people that have illness and that are sick that isn’t noticeable from the outside – and people that say things like that are very small minded and unhappy people. I know it hurts, but it’s nothing to take notice off – they are the one with the biggest problem. You know what is wrong – and you don’t have to justify your illness for anyone. I think it’s fantastic that you can look great and be full of pain.
You should be proud of yourself. Don’t let the “little people” bothering you.
